DSP Laser Protection For Press Brake Machine

  • The DSP laser safety protection device provides comprehensive protection for bending machine operators, effectively preventing safety hazards caused by the rapid movement of the slide.
  • The protected area is fixed below the die tip and moves synchronously with the die. When the machine slide descends at high speed, any object approaching the die tip will first enter the DSP protection zone.
  • If a finger, foreign object, or other obstruction enters the protected area, the device immediately triggers a signal, instantly cutting off the slide’s downward movement and stopping the machine in an emergency to avoid danger.

Three Types Of Modes Are Available

Mode 1: Activate the entire detection area
Mode 2: Detection areas before and after shielding
Mode 3: Detection area after shielding

Yellow DSP: Older/Standard model, yellow casing, common models: DSP AP, DSP AP+MCS.

Blue DSP: Newer/Upgraded model, blue casing, common models: DSP AP EX, DSP AP EX+MCS EX (EX = Enhanced).

Working Principle:A single beam of unique laser light is emitted from the transmitter, and the receiver receives the emitted beam, thus creating a detection area formed by the single laser beam and acting on the entire bending shaft. If any opaque object enters this area and interrupts the laser beam, the MSD will immediately interrupt the signal and stop the device’s operation via the control system. 

  • Protection distance up to 15 meters; virtually no interference during bending below the blade tip.
  • Stable performance with the same lifespan as the bending machine
