Q35Y Series Iron worker machine

Q35Y Series Iron worker machine

The hydraulic transmission principle enables it to perform multiple functions such as punching, shearing of channel steel and angle steel, shearing of thick plates, cutting of round steel and square steel, and corner cutting.

Standard Configurations

Introduction To Components

Notching Station

It can perform edge cutting, opening, and partial punching on metal profiles or plates.

Irregular Corner Cutting: Capable of cutting square, V-shaped, and other special shapes of corners on steel plates or angle steel.

Profile Grooving: Primarily used for cutting desired grooves or notches on profiles such as angle steel, flat steel, and channel steel.

Punching Station

By changing different punches and dies, round holes, square holes, oblong holes (elliptical holes), and various custom-shaped irregular holes can be punched. The up and down stroke of the punch can be adjusted according to the material thickness to reduce idle stroke and improve production efficiency.

Angle, Bars Cutting Station

This section integrates the functions of shearing angle steel, flat steel, I-beams, T-beams, and round and square metal bars. It can process angle steel from 17 3/4 inches to 35 1/2 inches and flat steel up to 17.71 inches, making it a multi-functional workstation.

Electrics cabinet

This section uses Siemens electrical cabinets from Germany, ensuring stable power supply, long lifespan, and global warranty.

Lighting

The additional lighting assists workers in performing continuous operations in dimly lit environments, thereby improving productivity.

Pedal Switch

Dual foot switches are installed:

Left foot switch: Dedicated and independent control for the punching station.

Right foot switch: Synchronously controls other stations such as shearing, corner cutting (grooving), and profile cutting.

This design supports simultaneous independent operation of both stations, significantly improving production efficiency.

Bending Station

The same lower die integrates two V-grooves of different widths, adaptable to different plate thicknesses (typically the groove width is 6-10 times the plate thickness) or different bending angles, eliminating the need for frequent die disassembly and replacement.

Zero-datum recalibration switching: Utilizing a concentric design, the center lines of the two V-grooves are perfectly aligned with the installation datum. Switching between grooves simply requires turning/rotating the die; no recalibration or machine adjustment is needed, reducing changeover time by 30%-60%.

Louver Punching(Optional)

Specialized louver forming molds can be used to produce and process louvers, typically on cold-rolled steel, aluminum, or stainless steel sheets with a thickness of less than 1.5mm.

Common louver mold lengths (W) range from 50mm to 150mm, and depth and opening angle can be customized.

FAQ

1. What is ironworker machine?

A combined punching and shearing machine (often called an ironworker) is a multi-functional metalworking machine tool that integrates multiple functions into one unit. Through its compact design, it combines cutting, punching, grooving, and bending processes—which previously required multiple machines—into a single machine body.

1. Pre-Startup Preparation for Sheet Metal Machine
– Lubrication Check: According to the sheet metal machine lubrication chart, apply lubricating oil to all transmission parts and lubrication points (such as sliders, pins and connecting rods) to ensure smooth operation of the punching and shearing machine.
– Tool and Die Inspection: Ensure that the punch, shear blade and mold of the sheet metal punching machine are firmly fastened, without chipping, cracking or excessive wear, which is crucial for stable processing quality.
– Gap Calibration: Check that the gap between the punch and lower die, as well as between shear blades of the shearing machine, is uniform and strictly meets the requirements of the processed sheet metal thickness to avoid material deformation or tool damage.
– Power Connection: Release the emergency stop button of the sheet metal machine and start the oil pump. If the punching shearing machine does not operate when the foot pedal is pressed, it may be necessary to switch the phase sequence of the three-phase power supply to correct the motor direction.

2. Station Operation Process of Sheet Metal Machine
Punching Station (Sheet Metal Punching Machine)
– Adjust the stripper of the punching machine so that it just presses the sheet metal workpiece but still allows fine adjustment of the position to ensure accurate punching.
– Align the sheet metal workpiece with the center punch mark or use a backstop for precise positioning, which helps improve the consistency of punching products.
– Confirm that both hands are completely away from the danger zone of the punching machine, then step on the foot switch to complete the sheet metal punching process.
Shearing Station (Sheet Metal Shearing Machine)
– Insert the sheet metal or profile into the corresponding station of the shearing machine, and adjust the hold-down device to firmly compress the material to prevent flipping or displacement during shearing.
– It is strictly prohibited to shear quenched steel, hard alloy or sheets exceeding the rated capacity of the sheet metal shearing machine, so as to avoid equipment failure or safety accidents.
Grooving/Angle Cutting Station (Sheet Metal Processing Machine)
– Use a stop block for repeated positioning on the sheet metal grooving machine or angle cutting machine to ensure the accuracy of the notch position and the consistency of batch processing.
