This press brake tonnage chart puts every tonnage step BEIGEMA publishes on one page: WC67K NC hydraulic from 40 to 600 tons, MB8 CNC hydraulic from 63 to 1200 tons, pure electric from 35 to 100 tons, and tandem pairs from 2*250T to 2*500T. Each step is listed with the bed lengths it is built in, because a tonnage figure without bed length doesn’t tell you whether the part fits. Every number is copied from the four product spec tables.
All four series sit in our press brake machine range.

1. How to read the press brake tonnage chart
The model name carries the rating and the bed length. WC67K 100/3200 prints 1000 kN on a 3200 mm bed, MB8 250T/3200 prints 2500 kN on 3200 mm, and tandem 2*250T/4000 is rated 2*2500 kN, with the 4000 in its model row standing for the bed length per frame, because a tandem is two frames working in sync.
Bed length sets the longest bend in one stroke, so start from the longest flange on the drawing, find that length in the row for your tonnage, and read off the series that builds it. That is also step one in how to choose a press brake: maximum sheet length, thickness and material first. A dash means that series does not publish that step; the press brake machine range lists every series and controller variant, and the small-tonnage rows are read row by row in small press brake models.
What the chart can’t do is turn sheet thickness into required tonnage; section 6 and the press brake tonnage calculator cover that.

2. WC67K NC hydraulic press brake tonnage: 40 to 600 ton steps
The WC67K NC press brake with E21 controller is the torsion-bar line and the longest list of the four, from 40/2200 to 600/6000. E21 gives X/Y positioning, multi-step program storage and metric/imperial selection; the press brake controller comparison sets it against the other five controllers we offer.
Throat depth steps with tonnage: 200 mm at 40 and 50 tons, 250 mm at 63 tons, 320 mm from 80 to 125 tons on 2500 and 3200 mm beds, and 400 mm on every 4000 mm bed and every row from 160 tons up. Ram stroke runs from 100 mm at 40 tons to 300 mm at 500 and 600 tons, the main motor from 4 kW to 37 kW, and the stroke rate falls from 11 strokes per minute at 40 and 50 tons to 7 from 160/5000 up.

3. MB8 CNC hydraulic press brake: 63 to 1200 ton steps
The MB8 CNC press brake with DA-66S runs from 63T/1300 to 1200T/7000 and is the only series with 800, 1000 and 1200 ton rows. From 100T to 300T every row is a 3200 mm bed sharing a 2700 mm column distance, 400 mm throat, 200 mm stroke and 420 mm opening; the rating, the motor (7.5 to 22 kW) and the weight (8.5 to 16.8 T) are what change. The 110T, 135T and 175T rows share those frame figures.
From 400T the frame changes. 400T/4000 moves to a 3500 mm column distance and a 320 mm stroke, 500T and 600T at 6000 mm go to a 500 mm throat and 600 mm opening, and 800T to 1200T get a 600 mm throat and 400 mm stroke.

4. Pure electric press brake: 35 to 100 tons, the smallest rows in the chart
The pure electric press brake is where the small-tonnage questions land. No 10, 12, 20, 25 or 30 ton row appears in any BEIGEMA table; the smallest published rows are the electric 35T 1350 at 350 kN and the WC67K 40/2200 at 400 kN. A 35 or 40 ton row runs a part that needs 20 tons; what you check instead is bed length, opening height and tooling.
Six columns run from 35T 1350 to 100T 3200. The main motor is printed as a pair beside an average power figure of 1.1 to 2.7 kW, so ask what duty cycle sits behind that average before you compare running costs.
| Model | Pressure (kN) | Length (mm) | Throat depth (mm) | Slider (mm) | Opening (mm) | Main motor (kW) | Average power (kW) | Weight (kg) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Electric 35T 1350 | 350 | 1350 | 200 | 180 | 430 | 2*8.6 | 1.1 | 4000 |
| Electric 50T 1650 | 500 | 1650 | 300 | 200 | 470 | 2*16 | 2.3 | 4800 |
| Electric 63T 2050 | 630 | 2050 | 300 | 200 | 470 | 2*21 | 2.6 | 6300 |
| Electric 63T 2500 | 630 | 2500 | 300 | 200 | 470 | 2*21 | 2.7 | 6800 |
| Electric 100T 2500 | 1000 | 2500 | 400 | 250 | 525 | 2*30 | 2.7 | 8500 |
| Electric 100T 3200 | 1000 | 3200 | 400 | 250 | 525 | 2*30 | 2.7 | 8800 |
5. Tandem press brake: 2*250T to 2*500T for plates longer than one bed
A tandem press brake for long plate bending is two frames under one dual-machine linkage control; the product page says they can operate independently or work in sync. Four force steps are listed: 2*320T and 2*400T start at 3200 mm per frame, 2*250T and 2*500T at 4000 mm, and all four reach 6000 mm.
When does a tandem beat one long bed? A single WC67K 6000 mm bed exists from 160 to 600 tons, plus 7000 mm at 300 tons, and the MB8 CNC press brake reaches 8000 mm at 800T and 1000T and 10000 mm at 1000T. The tandem case is a plate longer than the single bed you would otherwise buy, or a shop that wants two independent machines most of the year and one synchronized pair for the long jobs.
| Model | Bending force (kN) | Column distance (mm) | Throat depth (mm) | Stroke (mm) | Opening height (mm) | Main motor (kW) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Tandem 2*250T/4000 | 2*2500 | 3500 | 410 | 250 | 620 | 2*18.5 |
| Tandem 2*250T/6000 | 2*2500 | 5100 | 410 | 250 | 620 | 2*18.5 |
| Tandem 2*320T/3200 | 2*3200 | 2700 | 450 | 300 | 670 | 2*22 |
| Tandem 2*320T/6000 | 2*3200 | 5100 | 450 | 300 | 670 | 2*22 |
| Tandem 2*400T/4000 | 2*4000 | 3500 | 500 | 300 | 670 | 2*30 |
| Tandem 2*500T/4000 | 2*5000 | 3500 | 500 | 300 | 670 | 2*30 |
| Tandem 2*500T/6000 | 2*5000 | 5100 | 500 | 300 | 670 | 2*30 |
6. From the chart to a tonnage step: thickness, material and V opening
The chart tells you what is built; the calculator tells you what the bend needs. Its rules: force rises with thickness squared, so 12 mm plate needs far more than twice the tonnage of 6 mm; the 650 constant is calibrated for mild steel at 450 MPa over a V-die at roughly 8× thickness; halving the V opening doubles the force and can crack the outer fiber on stainless and high-strength grades. If a new 4 mm aluminum grade started cracking at tight radii, that last rule is the first thing to check.
Material moves the answer more than most bending tonnage charts admit. The calculator’s reference tensile strengths are Q235 / A36 at roughly 400–450 MPa, stainless 304 at 520–620 MPa, 316L at 485–580 MPa and aluminum 5052 at 195–260 MPa, to be verified against the mill certificate. A press brake tonnage chart for stainless steel or aluminum is the same list of machines with a different force input; the chart above is already metric.
Above 600 tons the chart steps straight to the MB8 800T, 1000T and 1200T rows, and nothing single-frame is listed above 1200T/7000. Run the press brake tonnage calculator with material, thickness, bend length and V opening, take the first step above the result, then use how to choose a press brake for the frame, drive, controller and support checks.
Press Brake Tonnage Chart FAQs
What does the tonnage in a press brake model name mean?
It is the rated bending force in kN on the spec table: WC67K 100/3200 lists 1000 kN, MB8 300T/3200 lists 3000 kN, and 600/6000 lists 6000 kN. The number after the slash is the bed length in mm.
Is a 160 ton press brake enough for 6 mm stainless over a 3 m bend?
The chart alone cannot say. Required force depends on tensile strength, thickness squared, bend length and V opening; stainless 304 at 520–620 MPa needs more than mild steel at 450 MPa for the same bend. Run the tonnage calculator; the 160 ton rows are WC67K 160/3200 to 160/6000 and MB8 160T/3200, with 175T and 200 tons as the next steps.
Is there a 20 ton, 25 ton or 30 ton press brake in the BEIGEMA range?
No. The smallest published rows are the pure electric 35T 1350 at 350 kN on a 1350 mm bed and the WC67K 40/2200 at 400 kN on a 2200 mm bed. Choose between them on bed length, opening height and drive type.
How do I verify a 200T/4000 CNC press brake quotation?
Check it against the tables first: 200/4000 is a WC67K NC row at 2000 kN with a 400 mm throat, 200 mm stroke and 15 kW motor, and the MB8 CNC table lists 200T at 3200 mm only. Then have the controller model, the number of controlled axes and whether crowning and the R-axis are manual or controlled written into the signed technical quotation.
Does the press brake tonnage chart change for aluminum or stainless steel?
The machine rows stay the same; the required force changes with tensile strength: 195–260 MPa for aluminum 5052 and 520–620 MPa for stainless 304 against 400–450 MPa for Q235 / A36. Enter the grade, thickness, bend length and V opening, then pick the step above the result.
To place a part on the chart, send the drawing with the thickness, material and longest bend length, and tell us which bed length and drive you have in mind.
